In collaboration with several university centres and scientists renowned in different fields, AVINENT undertakes research related to dental implantology. These are some of the studies carried out and directed by AVINENT:

Mechanical tests: compression, torsion, flexure and fatigue.

Study of the mechanical properties of AVINENT dental implants. In particular, the fatigue resistance of the implants in accordance with UNE-EN ISO 14801, for resistance to torsion and compression.

Mechanical analysis by numerical simulation

Tests by means of numerical simulation, or the finite elements method, are performed to evaluate biomechanical reactions of Avinent dental implants to diverse stress conditions. By means of these tests, the ideal design of implants and abutments has been developed, attaining minimum dimensional tolerances, evaluating performance under different masticatory loads, and taking into account the implant-bone stress distribution in order to achieve better osteointegration.
