The Aurum Group’s event “The Evolution of Dental Medicine Summit” was held in Whistler on 7, 8 and 9 November. This year, the hundreds of dental professionals that attend the event every two years stayed in the Fairmont Chateau Whistler complex and enjoyed listening to the talks in a typically Canadian alpine setting.

The Aurum Group is a inspiration for medical sector companies, focusing its endeavours on opening new markets and finding new paths within an already-saturated sector, as is the dental sector. This type of event proposes evaluating integral dental health as a critical and determining aspect of overall health, working with technology and contemporary business systems as the cornerstones.

Attendees were able to listen to world leaders in medicine, dental medicine, technology and commercial disciplines in talks aimed at inspiring growth from independent entrepreneurial experience. Albert Giralt, CEO of AVINENT, participated as an event speaker with a powerful talk on 3D printing and customisation within the dental sector. Currently, 4.0 odontology is a real scenario and 3D printing takes the lead in providing us with design and production freedom. This freedom is the big break allowing us to respond to the present immediacy of the market and achieve a qualitative and conceptual leap from current dental solutions. Delegates were made aware of the new global conscience of the medical sector and AVINENT’s response in the form of innovative patient-centred solutions. The talk ended with the audience dwelling on a future based on bioprinting as the method to develop definitive customised solutions.

Initiatives like those of the Aurum Group promote a hothouse for collaboration between professionals that stimulates research and innovation, and boosts the creation of solutions and treatments that are more respectful of patients’ health.
